I wish to bring to the notice of the municipal corporation the danger posed by stray dogs and cows in our colony.
The stray dogs create a mess on the roadsides by tearing the garbage bags kept for disposal. They bark continuously at night and cause disturbance. The stray dogs chase people and there have been cases when they have bitten and seriously injured children. It has become extremely difficult for people to step out in the colony in the fear of being chased by dogs. Also, the streets are covered cow dung and it is difficult to walk around. The traffic is often disrupted due to unruly behaviour of cows and they have also become a reason for many accidents. It is my sincere request that the dogs and cows be relocated to shelters and kennels for the safety of the residents of the colony as well as for better care for the animals.
I hope that the concerned authorities will take appropriate steps to solve the problem of stray dogs and cows in the colony.
