Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like spread
awareness among people about global warming and its effects Global
warming is a gradual increase of the earth's temperature as a
result of the increase in green house gases Since the Industrial
Revolution, burning of fossil fuels has led to an increase in
temperature
During the past century the atmospheric temperature has risen
considerably and the sea level has gone up Global warming is
leading to melting of polar ice resulting in the rise in the sea
level Profound changes in agriculture have taken place due to
climate change and tropical storms
In order to control global warming the use of fossil fuels must be
reduced Plantation projects should be undertaken to get good
rainfall and help reducing the atmospheric temperature
