Subject: Concern regarding the education of girl child.

This is to bring to your notice that the lack of education among girls especially those belonging to financially weaker sections and rural areas is a big concern. More than 50% of girls in India are not enrolled in schools and even if they get to schools they dropout by the age of twelve. 

Education is not considered important for girls. They are only taught how to do household chores and sometimes the eldest girl becomes a second mother to her siblings. 

This growing problem needs to be solved by creating awareness among people. I request you to please publish an article regarding this in your newspaper.
