There was a lot of excitement in the air. The sound of crackers could be heard all around . Manu rushed out................

It was Sunday and Manu was at home watching the match between Chennai Superkings and Kolkatta Knight Riders. Outside there was a lot of excitement in the air. Manu too, was excited, he wanted the Kolkatta Knight Riders to win. the match was becoming very interesting with every passing minute. It looked as if the Kolkatta team would lose the match. Manu was praying desperately for his team to win. Then as if a miracle took place and in the last over, his team scored the required runs and won the match. The sound of crackers could be heard all around. Manu rushed out to see the fun but within a few minutes this fun was transformed into a gruesome incident as a flying cracker caused a huge fire. People started running here and there and the siren of ambulance and fire engines deafened the ears. Manu went downstairs and started helping the people to douse the fire. After a couple of hours they were able to put out the fire and see the damage. Many houses were burnt and many people injured. Jubilation for some turned into nightmare for others. The victory of his favourite team would be etched on Manu's mind forever.
