- The sitting room had been decorated with balloons and buntings.
- As I waited for the guests to arrive, I got a call from the bakery to in form me of a power outage at their unit.
- They could not deliver the food as promised!
- Just then, the guests started arriving and my mother would be home in ten minutes!
- As I was about to burst out crying, my mother's best friend noted something was wrong.
- She suggested I order pizza for everybody.
- My mother was pleasantly surprised when she reached home.
- It turned out to be a fabulously different party: unlimited pizza for all and a microwave cake baked by that dear aunty.
