Write a very very short summary of the poem-THE FROG AND THE NIGHTINGALE(max. 13-14 lines).

There lived once a crafty frog in Bingle Bog under a sumac tree and croaked endlessly in his loud and unpleasant voice. The other creatures hated his voice and tried to convince him not to sing. But neither their pleadings nor their insults could stop the frog from exposing his heart 's elation to sing. Then, on a cold moonlit night, a nightingale, perched upon the sumac tree sang in her sweet and melodious voice. The frog watched her sing dumbstruck and all the other creatures appreciated her. This made the frog feel jealous of her. The next day, the frog introduces himself to be a renowned musician and offers to train her. The poor bird who lacked self-confidence accepted his tutelage. So, the bird sang and it became a huge hit. The frog charged entrance fees for all those who came to the concert. The next day, the frog made her practise inspite of the heavy rain. This made her voice rough and hoarse and her song lost its charm. The frog kept on criticising her and advises her to follow fashion and cater to the needs of the audience. Forced by her trainer 's scoldings, she over-exerts herself and burst a vein and died. And now, the frog retained his supremacy in the Bog and sang endlessly in his unpleasant voice again.

The poem speaks about a frog who had a rather unpleasant voice. Despite this, he was full of self-confidence. He often croaked all night much to the annoyance of the other animals in the forest. They were tired of his incessant crocking and insulted him whenever he started singing. But the frog was adamant and didn’t heed their criticism no matter how much they rebuked him. He believed that his voice was very special and was insensitive to the distress he was causing others. His arrogance was one day shattered by the arrival of the nightingale whose melodious voice was seen as a welcome change from the frog’s harsh cacophony. The other animals appreciated her mellifluous voice and rewarded her with thunderous applause. The frog was threatened by the presence of the talented rival and was jealous of all the adulation she was garnering. So, he hatched a plan to destroy her and get her out of his way.

In the poem nightingale and the frog , the frog tries to get rid of the nightingale as it was a better sinwr than the frog itself. Later the frog succeded as the nightingale died because of its own foolishness.

Satirizing means to mock Here the frog is superior And nightingale even if she's talented obeys d frog which is likely to mock Which led to her death 💀

The frog's joy was sweet because many animals from far and wide came to attend the concert. The more the audience, more money he would collect. Moreover, he was happy also because he was able to exploit the Nightingale so well and also torture her leading towards her death. However, his joy was bitter as he knew well in His heart that the Nightingale was truly talented and so was greatly appreciated by all the animals. He could never gather such applause from the animals. Hence, 'the frog's joy was both sweet and bitter.'
