Dear Diary

Today was the happiest day of my life. I won the winner's trophy in the Inter-school Dance Competition. I had been waiting for this moment from three long months. I had been burning the midnight oil and practicing really hard for this trophy. Yesterday night, I was so nervous that I could not even sleep properly. Today, in the morning, I woke up, got ready, offered my prayers and left for school. My dance teacher motivated me and tried to boost up my morale. She really had been my strength through all the thick and thin.

I gave my best in the competition and was eagerly waiting for the results to be announced. As soon as I heard my name being called up for the first position, I could not believe my ears and tears started rolling down my cheeks. I wwent up to the stage and received my trophy. The judges appreciated my performance. My teacher and my parents felt proud of me. I'll try to perform even better next time.
