Advantage: Used in:

• Domestic purposes such as drinking, washing, cooking, gardening etc.

• Personal hygiene such as brushing, shaving, bathing etc.

• Recreation or water sports, fountains, decorations, etc.

• Agricultural purposes like irrigation.
• Industrial processes and for production of electricity.

Disadvantage:

Excess of water in form of rainfall causes floods, crop damage, loss of livestock etc.
Stored water is one of the most common carriers of diseases such as cholera, diphtheria, malaria etc.
