write an account on the producton of human insulin in tranzenic animals...?? i didn't get it.......??

The animals that are engineered to carry genes of other species and replicate them are known as transgenic animals. For the production of human insulin, mice are selected as transgenic animal. The gene that is responsible for insulin production is isolated and injected into the nucleus of the reproductive cell of the mouse. As the mouse reproduces the gene gets transferred into its next generation. This mouse with a new gene is a transgenic animal. The transgenic animals carrying insulin producing genes start producing insulin which are used to treat diabetes in human.
