Wind Pollinated Flower -
a) Pollens should be light weight.
b) Most flower have no Petals.
c) Plants are generally unisexual.
d) Stamens and Stigma are exposed to air currents.
 

Insect pollinated flowers:
1. The insect pollinated flowers usually contain nectar which serves as food material to the insects and encourage them to keep returning to the plant.

2. Many plants develop brightly colored or white flowers to attract insects but some insects like flies, moths and beetles are drawn to pale, dull white or green flowers.

3. Flowers come in a variety of shapes to allow a particular insect to reach the nectar and pollen.

Also, these flowers have have sweet, spicy or rotten smells according to the insect they want to attract.

Water pollinated flowers:
1. Stamens and pollen grains are spongy and water proof.
2. They are also light.
3. No animal transporters are needed.

Animal pollinated flowers:
1. Pollen grains and stigma are sticky.
2. Flower are colourful, attractive and produce nectar.
