Large intestine is the last part of the digestive system in our body. When the food enters the large intestine from small intestine it is already completely digested. Reabsorption of water and concentration of solid wastes is the main function in the large intestine. It also helps in absorption of some nutrients left by small intestine. Some symbiotic bacteria are also present here.

The undigested and unabsorbed removed from the body through waterand became semi- solids particles and stored in rectum for sometime.
