Saturday July 1, 2017 10:45 p.m. Dear Diary: I am so happy today as the school took us to the Science City, Gandhinagar. First of all the drive to the Science City in the school bus was just awesome. We sang songs and played Antakshri all along the way. As we reached it, we queued up and entered the building. Inside all types of working models explaining laws of science were on display. Then we were taken to a room that had various types of mirrors that reflected distorted reflection owing to their convexities or concavities. After that we were taken to a dome theatre where we saw a wonderful movie on the evolution of the world lying in comfortable chairs. The screen was in a dome in the ceiling. Next, we were taken to a corridor that showed the world of dinosaurs. There were displayed many life-size models of various species of the extinct animals. Finally we were taken to a big hall that housed models and information of India’s recent technological achievements. Dummies of Agni, Brahmos, Akash, PAD (Prithvi Air Defense System), AAD (Advanced Air Defense System), Mangalan Yan, PSLV, and GSLV launch vehicles, etc. your name mind with pride. After the visit I have resolved that I will also become a great scientist.
