I have a doubt.
Isn't it said that ratio is the comparison between quantities of the SAME KIND (in the same units)?
Then how come in certain instances it is not done so. For example, the ratio between the number of pens and cost of pens is taken in a problem.
Please clear this as soon as possible.
(1) If x1/p = y1/q = z1/r and xyz = 1 then the value of p+q+r is ?
(2) If ax = b, by = c, cz = a then xyz is?
Can you please solve this?
On simplification, 1/(1 + am-n + am-p) + 1/(1 + an-m +an-p) + 1/(1 + ap-m + ap-n) is eqyal to
Please make it clear how to find mantissa.(with an example).
At one part of the study material (mantissa of the logarithm of any number - important points) it was found that the value of mantissa of log 2.4 is taken as 0.6021 which is the value of 40 under 0 and not 24 under 0.
But just below this (in example 5 ) mantissa of log 29.4594 is taken as value of 29 under 4.
Please clear this as soon as possible.
In an example it is given that mantissa of log2.4 is 0.6021 which is the value of 40 under 0.(Here the whole number part (2) is not considered). Whereas in another example it is given that mantissa of log29.4594 or (after rounding) log29.46, is 0.4692 which is the value of 29 under 4 added to mean difference under 6.(Here the whole number part (29) is considered).
Please make this clear as soon as possible.
