A magazine publisher named Jenkins asks John Hallock to give him a story on the supernatural. John agrees, as his magazine is the only one that prints his stories. John is usually short of ideas to write, but somehow he mysteriously gets inspired to pen down a reasonably good ghost story.

John goes home to his study and tries to think of a plot for his new supernat…
