Board Paper of Class 10 2022 Science - Solutions

i. The question paper consists of 4 questions. All questions are compulsory. However, internal choices have been given within questions. The student has to attempt only specified number of parts in such questions.

ii.  Question number 1 contains two parts - (A) and (B) of 5 marks each. Question number 2 contains two parts - (A) and (B). Part (A) is of 4 marks while part (B) is of 6 marks. Question number 3 is of 15 marks. Question number 4 is of 5 marks.

iii. In case of MCQs (Q. No. 1(A)) only the first attempt will be evaluated and will be given credit. For each MCQ, the correct alternative (A), (B), (C), (D) with sub-question number is to be written as an answer. For Eg: (i) (A), (ii) (B), (iii) (C)

iv. Use of a calculator is not allowed.

v. Scientifically correct, labelled diagrams should be drawn wherever necessary.

    (v) Read the following paragraph and answer the questions based on it :
If heat is exchanged between a hot and cold object, the temperature of the cold object goes on increasing due to gain of energy and the temperature of the hot object goes on decreasing due to loss of energy.
The change in temperature continues till the temperatures of both the objects attain the same value. In this process, the cold object gains heat energy and the hot object loses heat energy. If the system of both the objects is isolated from the environment by keeping it inside a heat resistant box, then no energy can flow from inside the box or come into the box.
