Differentiate between Buna-S and Terylene based on intermolecular forces of attraction ?

Buna-S is a addition polymerization. When 1,3 butadiene react with styrene it forms Buna-S rubber.

Terylene is a condensation polymerization. When dimethyl glycol and dimethyl terephthalate react, it forms Terylene polymer.

terylene is fibre so has strong intermolecular force buna- s is elastomer

Buna-s is an elastomer with weak forces of attraction where as Terrylene is an fiber with strong forces of attractions like Hydrogen bonds.

Buna-S is an Elastomer while terylene is a fabric.

Intermolecular forces in Buna-S are comparatively weaker than intermolecular foces in terylene
