plz explain me electrolysis of acidulated water rpy soon plz

electrolysis of water is defined as the process of decomposition of water into its constituent elements (that is H2 and O2) by passing electricity through the water. When electricity is passed through water containing a few drops of sulphuric acid, it breaks down to give its constituent elements as products i.e. hydrogen and oxygen. Following is theoverall equation for the reaction

Following reactions occur at the cathode and the anode

At cathode:-

Reduction

2 H+ (aq) + 2e- → H2

At anode:-

Oxidation

2H2O (l )→ O2 (g) + 4H+ (aq) + 4e
