What is the meanong of sharp melting point?

The Temperature at which the substance change from one state to other state completely. For example the melting point of iron is 1535°C which means at this temperature the solid iron converts completely into liquid state.

Some materials seem to melt over a range of temperatures, others have a "sharp: melting point, meaning that the material goes from solid to liquid in a very short temp. A broad melting pt. is often an indication of an impure material.

 it simply means high melting point.
