why do our skin of your finger shrink when you wash clothes for long time?

 i think water is absorbed into the skin,

The skin shrinks because when v put our fingers in water for a long time then it  wash's away the oil which protects us and thats why it will shrink.

 our skin of finger shrinks when we do the same, as when we wash the clothes the water around the fingers or hand behaves like hypertonic solution and water starts coming out from finger(cell) to out side region causing the fingers to shrink.

THIS HAPPENS BECOZ OF THE PROCESS OF OSMOSIS...WEN OUR SKIN CUMS IN CONTACT WID WATER THE WATER FRM OUR HAND MOVES OUT THRU THE SEMI PERMEABLE MEMBRANE(SKIN) SO DATS Y OUR HANDS SKIN SHRINKS.....
