A body moves along a straight line with an acceleration 3m/s for 2 second and then with an acceleration of 4m /s for 3 second. What is his average acceleration ?

Veclocity at end of 2 seconds =( u +a * t )=( 0 + 3 * 2) = 6 m/s
Velocity three seconds later = (u + a * t )= (6 + 4 * 3) = 18 m/s
Average acceleration = ( Total change in velocity ) / time = ( 18 - 0 ) /5 = 3.6 m/s2
