Answer this question from class 8 English ch macavity

Dear Student,
1. The poet calls Macavity a ‘fiend’ and a ‘monster’ because he might have wanted to portray an evil side. He might have used a cat in order to create a negative character who is a criminal and escapes easily from the police. The quick movements of a cat and its mysterious eyes might have influenced him to create this evil character in the form of a cat.

2. Macavity was always successful in his robberies. He was never caught by the police. Although he broke all the rules, he still managed to escape. This shows the qualities of a criminal mastermind.

3. Macavity breached most of the man-made laws as well as the law of gravity as he used to drift himself up to the air and vanish after the crime.

4. He was very clever to finish off his theft and disappear from the crime spot before he could be caught. That is why he never suffered.
