I think there is a correction in the chapter 3 electrochemistry part 1 of class 12 in the intext question Q.3.3 where the reduction potential is -0.77 and higher values can oxidise it but u have mentioned that even O2 can oxidise but its electrode potential value is -0.68 and hence wont oxidise ferrous ion

Any substance having electrode potential more than that of Fe3+/Fe2+can oxidise it.
So substances like O2 , F2 Co3+ etc can be used to oxidise it.
