Narcotic analgesics are also known as opioids. These analgesics act on central nervous system and are addictive. Some examples are aspirin, ibuprofen.
Non-narcotics are also known as non-opioids. These drugs act peripherally. These are non-addictive and have anti-inflammatory effect. The examples are tylenol, NSAID, etc.
