Q. How many meiotic divisions are required to produce 250 pollen grains in an angiosperm?

The answer is 2. 63.
When pollen mother cell undergoes meiotic division, it produces 4 pollen grains. So for generation of 240 pollen grain no of division required= 240/4=60
60 division will produce less pollen grains.
As per ques for 250 pollen grain, no of divisions required = 60+ 3 ( produces another 12 pollen grain)=63
