Give me a Report on Gender,Division and Discrimination ?

2morow I have to submit the report in school without fail.

Pls........ it's urgent.

a. Gender is a socially constructed term that sought to create artificial segregation in the society between men and women. It gets reflected in the sexual division of work and in the society’s mind set.

b. Women have become victims of the patriarchal society which establishes men’s domination as natural and inevitable.

c. We may have established Democracy formally that embraces the notion of liberty, equality and believes in enhancing the dignity of an individual but there exist a sharp contrast between theory and practice.

d. Rape, female infanticide, incidents of domestic violence, denial of opportunities for women have become an integral part of Indian Society and needs to be condemned.

e. The literacy rate amongst women is abysmally low; similarly, women are paid less at the work place.

f. Feminist movement over the years has sought to highlight the plight of women demanding equality in reality.

g. Some progress has been made to encourage women’s representation for example,73rd and 74th Constitutional amendment acts provided for 1/3rd reservation of seats in the local bodies for the weaker section and women.

h. Women's Representation Bill which sought to provide 1/3rd reservation of seats for women in the Parliament has been passed in the Rajya Sabha.

i. We need to change perception of the society to end the discrimination that women are subjected to.
