 the other condition is that a man is standing on the floor od an elevator which is accelerating downwards with acceleration g. the non inertial observer will apply a psedo force mg upwards which will alone balance the weigth mg.

thus the normal reaction by the floor will be 0 ! thus, the apparent weight of the man will bw zero.
