The rate of a reaction is directly proportional to the concentration of reactants, i.e.
So in ester hydrolysis ester will converted into corboxylic acid and alcohol as shown in the following reaction,
RCOOR1 ------------H+------------> RCOOH + R1OH
A the time proceed the concentration of the ester get decrerase.
Given that initial rate of hydrolysis = R0
and rate of the hydrolysis after some ester get hydrolysed = Rt
Since concentration of the ester get decrease with time, Hence R0 > Rt
Option (C) is correct.
