Dear Student, 

​​​Given reaction converts keto group to methylene (CH₂). This can be done in both acidic and basic medium.
Reagents in acidic medium : Zn(Hg), HCl
Reagents in basic medium : KOH/NH₂NH₂

Both these separately can be used.
