What amount of bromine will be required to convert 2g of phenol into 2,4,6-tribromophenol??

From the reaction we know that,

Phenol +  3 Br2  --------> 2,4,6-tribromophenol

For 3 Br2 = 3 * (2*80) = 480

Amount of bromine needed  ,
 
(480*2)/94 = 10.2

((94 is mass of phenol ))

Bromine's mass is 80 and there are 2 of them bonded then we multiply with stoichiometric constant i.e 3 . Therefore 80*2*3.
