the mass of jupiter is 314  times that of the earth and the diameter of the jupiter is 11.35 times that of the earth.If g has a value of 9.8m on the earth.What is the value on the jupiter

We know, g = GM/R2

Where, M is the mass of the planet and R is the radius of the planet. For our earth,

g = GM/R2 = 9.8 m/s2

A/Q, mass of Jupiter = 314M and radius is 11.35R

So, acceleration due to gravity for Jupiter will be, g/ = G(314M)/(11.35R)2 = (314/11.352)(GM/R2)

=> g/ = (2.44)(9.8) = 23.9 m/s2

in case if earth ,,,

g=GM/R2

for jupiter,,,,

let it be g'=G*314M/11.35R2

now. g/g' = (GM/R2) / (G*314M/11.35R2)

so after calculating all we get , value of g=0.03614 ............

hp itzz correct and helps u.. thumbs up plzzzz.........
