Two container A and B are partly filled with water and closed. The volume of A is twice that B and it contains half the amount of water in B. If both are same tempereture, thr water vapour in the container will have pressure in the ratio of?

Vapour pressure does not depend upon volume, moles of water taken or surface area. But depends on temperature which is equal in both the cases. So both the containers will have equal value of pressure and the ratio will be unity.

As liquid is same in both the containers, therefore their vapour pressure is same .

As vapour pressure Pa=mole fraction * total pressure therefore it is indepent of volume or no. Of moles therefore 1:1

Ballon A will bluge more than ballon B

Answer - 1:1 Solution - becoz volume is not depend upon vapour . As, the temperature of container same so the ratio will equal.

Because there is no relation of vapour pressure and volume so both have same pressure1:1

Vapour pressure for the same liquid is always same. So the ratio P:P will be 1:1
