what happens when we sugarcane is hydrolysed ?

Dear Student,

The sugarcane is comprised of lactose, sucrose and maltose with the general disaccharide formula as C12H22O11 and on hydrolysis we get,

C12H22O11+H2OC6H12O6(glucose) + C6H12O6(fructose)

The hydrolysis of sugarcane results in conversion of disaccharide to monosaccharide for optimal energy conversion, in simple monosaccharide gives instant energy boost.

Regards.
