what is the significance of cell constant. no links

Dear student
Cell Constant: Cell constant (K) is of particular cell is determined as the ratio of the distance between the electrodes of the cell to the area of the electrodes.
i.e         K = lA
Here : l = distance between the electrodes
           A = Area of cross-section

Significance of cell constant:
Cell constant is used in conductometry in the determination of conductance of a solution
Conductivity is the ability of a solution to pass an electric current and it is related to cell constant by following relation:
conductivity of the cell = conductance x cell constant
