Why pure ethyl alcohol cannot be obtained from rectified spirit even by fractional distillation?

Rectified spirit (95 % alcohol and 5 % water)  is an azeotropic mixture. Azeotropes are the one which boils at constant temperature, whatever be the composition. As the boiling point remains the same, the method of fractional distillation cannot be applied.
