CBSE 10- English Board Paper Analysis

CBSE Class 10 Board aspirants had their English (Commutative) exam on 19th March,2015. The general consensus says that the exam was average.

The exam paper consisted of three sections:

Section A: This section carried 20 marks and comprised of Reading Comprehensions. Candidates found this section very simple, both the passages could be solved easily.

Section B: This section carried 25 marks and had five questions in total. Question 3 and 4 were provided with internal choices as well.

Section C: This section carrying 25 marks had four long answer questions based on literature. The answers to all these questions should have been written in a lucid and coherent way, those having thorough knowledge of the chapters could attempt the exam. This section too had several internal choices.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS:

– Difficulty level: Average
– There was one tricky question which had more than 1 solution. Delhi – Set 1, Q.6.(b)
– None of the questions were out of the syllabus and also there was no error in the question paper.
