Out of the 7 lakh students who opted out of the Boards and appeared for regular school-based exams, 97.2% have passed. The overall pass percentage of candidates from Delhi has come down to 78.09 percent, 13% lower than that of 2016.

Noteworthy updates on CBSE Class 10 2017 Results:

  • Among all regions, Trivandrum has fared the best by registering pass percentage of 99.85 per cent.
  • Guwahati has the pass percentage of 65.53, the lowest among all regions.
  • The results came after the Boards announcement of doing away with the moderation policy, which allowed students to get grace marks that helped low scorers pass the exams. This could possibly explain the dip in pass percentages across the country.
  • Male candidates fared better than females, which is different from the trends seen over previous years. 92.5% of the girls who appeared for the 10th grade exams across the country passed it, while the pass percentage for boys was 93.4.
