Good News Users: JEE Main -2014 – Dates Extended

Good News for aspirants of JEE (Main) 2014! The last date for submitting applications for joint entrance exam (JEE)-2014 has been extended from December 26 to January 6. The extension is applicable to all candidates and all the other conditions for filling up the form remain the same. It was also announced that no other extension shall be provided under any circumstances.

The decision was made post a  request made due to the fact that the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh decided to participate in JEE (Main) after the start of the process of application form. And, in view of this and in the interest of aspirants of JEE (Main) – 2014, the last date for filling up of online application form has been extended upto 06 January 2014.

JEE Main 2014 – Importance

JEE Main 2014 will prove to be the biggest entrance examination of the year as 13 Lakh+ candidates would be participating. It’d provide a gateway to various premier institutes like NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. To get admission in these colleges, candidates have to fill the application form to attempt the JEE Main 2014 Exam. Based on the merit list (prepared from normalization in 60:40 ratio, where 60 is JEE Main 2014 score and 40 is Class XII score), the counselling and seat allotment processes would be carried out.
Top 1.5 Lakh candidates in the JEE Main 2014 would be selected for JEE Advanced 2014, which will provide admissions into IITs and ISM Dhanbad.
