Fowler Meets Ausable

As Fowler followed Ausable through a dank gloomy corridor of a French hotel, he felt let down by how little Ausable looked like a secret agent. Ausable’s small room was on the sixth and topmost floor. He was very fat and had an American accent, something he had brought over from Boston, when he came to Paris two decades ago.
