suppose a body two bodies A and B . body A is dropped from a height H and the body b is thrown horizontally with some velocity from the same height H . which body will reach first or body body reach simultaneously ?

For body A, the initial vertical velocity is 0. So, it accelerates downward with ‘g’. Suppose it covers the height H in time t.

H = 0 + ½ gt2

=> t = (2H/g)1/2

For body B also the initial vertical velocity is 0. So, it accelerates downward with ‘g’. Suppose it covers the height H in time t/.

H = 0 + ½ g(t/)2

=> t/ = (2H/g)1/2

Thus, they reach ground simultaneously when they are dropped (body A) and thrown (body B) simultaneously.
