What is the difference between resultant of vectors and resolution of vectors? Yes, I understand that one means the sum or difference of two vectors while the other refers to the the component of vectors. But how.. i am confused. Their formula's are used to find the same thing! or not.

Resultant means the net result of two vectors. Or, a single vector that can replace the existing vectors.

Resolution of vector means to resolve the vector in horizontal and vertical components. The resultant of the horizontal and vertical component gives us the vector resolved by us.
