Oscar Fingal O’Flahertie Wills Wilde (Oscar Wilde) is an Irish playwright, critic, poet and author. He was born on 16th October 1854 in Dublin. He studied at the Trinity College in Dublin after finishing his initial schooling at home. He wrote one novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray (1890), and many plays & poems. The Importance of Being Earnest (1895) is considered to be his masterpiece. Before his death at a young age of forty-six, he had established himself as one of the most popular playwrights in London.
