Gujarat Common Entrance Test or more commonly known as GUJCET is a state-level exam by The Education Department, Govt. of Gujarat. Open for all the candidates belonging to the state of Gujarat, it is one of the top entrance examinations of India.
GUJCET Paper Pattern:
The GUJCET is conducted in English, Hindi and Gujarati medium and consists of around 120 objective type questions carrying around one mark each. The total time for the exam is around 180 minutes. There is no negative marking applicable in GUJCET.
Syllabus for GUJCET:
The syllabus of 10+2 under Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Board is generally followed in GUJCET.
GUJCET Eligibility Criteria :
- Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination Science Stream (10+2) under the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Board are eligible for GUJCET.
- Candidates who have passed or have filled in application form (in the same year of the entrance examination) for Higher Secondary Science Stream Examination (10+2) from CBSE or ICSE recognized schools situated in Gujarat are eligible for GUJCET.
- Children of Military Personnel or State/Central Govt. employees who are basically from Gujarat but are based in some other state are also eligible provided they have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations in science stream from any recognized board.
