Calculation of AIPMT Score using Answer Keys
> The AIPMT paper consists of 180 objective type questions, with 4 answer choices. One of the 4 choices is the correct answer.
> For each correct answer, the candidate scores 4 marks.
> For each incorrect answer selected, there is a negative marking of 1 mark, which gets deducted from the score.
> So total marks obtained in the AIPMT exam will be calculated by multiplying number of correct answers selected by 4, and then deducting marks equal to the number of incorrect answers selected.
So total AIPMT score formula is:
|AIPMT Score = (Number of Questions with Correct Answer Selected * 4) – (Number of Questions with Incorrect Answer Selected *1)|
