The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) held the Class 12 Economics board exam on March 31, 2016. Our Subject Experts at Meritnation are always up and ready to give you a quick video analysis of the exam and solutions before anybody else.
Our experts analysed the Economics paper and found out that it was quite easy and questions were straightforward. Most questions were direct & asked from previous years’ papers. However, the numerical questions were a little tricky.
Trend of HOTS Questions: Number of questions & marks assigned to HOTS questions was reduced in the paper.
Chapter-wise Marks Distribution: Weightage of both the sections, Microeconomics & Macroeconomics has remained the same with that of last year’s paper.
Proportion of Numericals: A slight decline has been observed in the marks distribution of numerical questions. This year numerical questions accounted for 19 marks as compared to 23 marks in 2015.
Overall, the paper can be rated as average and we can hope many students scoring great marks.
