In what may prove to be good news for engineering aspirants across the country, the Supreme Court of India has ordered that the age limit for the Joint Entrance Exam or JEE Advanced be removed. Earlier, the upper age limit for candidates appearing for JEE advanced was 25 years. It is, however, unclear as to which year this order by the Supreme Court will be implemented. Since the NTA has already conducted the JEE Main once this year, the results of which were recently announced, it remains to be seen whether the implementation can happen in this year.
JEE is one of the biggest entrance exams of the year, conducted to select candidates for engineering colleges in the country, including prestigious institutes like IIT. Candidates are selected for the IITs through the second level of JEE, called JEE Advanced.
It is recommended that aspirants keep a close watch on the developments that take place hereon. The JEE Advanced is scheduled to be conducted on the 19th of May, 2019.
